Ethernet Cable Tester No Lights

I have bought a network cable tester and in the manual it said that all lights from 1 8 g should light up in sequence.

Plug the cable into different devices or computers checking if the error persists or if it functions normally. The tester will cycle through 8 positions and a ground connection each represented by a light on the tester. Plug cable into the transmitter. Plug the other end of the cable into the receiver.

Turn the tester on and watch if any lights don t activate during the cycle. Once the cables are connected turn the tester on to begin the test. The ethernet cable tester will take some tests to initiate the process. However i get only 8 without g although the cable is in working condition.
